Dark Angel Orks VS Chaos Eldar

Scenery setup.

Orks and Dark Anges VS Eldar and Chaos.

KILL points

Deployment: Corners !!

So this was the worst the orks could of hoped for deployement

Picture is end turn 1 . Orks move forward a squad of FD took one of the flanks.

As you can see the orks are all over the place and they have a ordnance weapon along with first turn.

Deployment would later find that it was towards the Eldars and Chaos’s disadvantage.

Turn 1 nothing much went on. Only 5 FnP orks died. Dorks turn proved just as ineffective but would later prove pivotal for knocking off the ordnance weapon allowed for easier moment of models.

- Terminators arrive. Deamons do not!

TURN two is where susmita took the longest to figure out what she wanted to do. She seemed unsure of what to do. Even though killing 5 orks was pretty effective according to their excitement.

On the other Hand Chaos did a Very unusual Chaos tactic… They pulled back with the land raider. Also INSTEAD of lashing a squad towards them they pushed it back!!!.

Seemed like a great idea. Get some more kills on the squad before they dedicate their attacks in to the FnP orks.

Start the magic and Shooting!!!!!

Susmita did some shooting. It really sucked. Chaos’s was just as bad since on turn 2 there were no casualties taken from the Dorks.

Heres where the end of their movement looked like

The only thing I didn’t label was the Deamon prince. And the Guraidains because I completely forgot about them while drawling my MsPaint shot photo…. And the terminators. Because they were DS’d up in no mans Land. No were close enough to assist the besereks in a counter.

Dorks turn 2. Bottom half.

Reservers: Kommandos arrive. Terminators Don’t

Movment. Orks move forward. Kommandos come in right where Susmita is sitting with her hands holding her head in sad despair. Terminators Move up and FAN out! Some were in the building for better LOS

Kommandos Kill so many guys pulls them out of charge range.
Guardians end of getting wiped out at shooting.

Deamon prince takes 1 squad of lootas 2 squad of Boys fireing (not full complents) AND is killed

Fire dragons transport is stopped from moving and shooting next turn. (didn’t matter it was out in no mans land)
-the main leg work is done when the Oddly place Rhino was approached by the 3 bikes with a melta. Score the melta HITS. And Penetrates! I wonder if Chaos has Smoke launchers. Not that it would of mattered because smoke launchers have to be deployed

Major EVENT: Once all the guys PILE out. They got LIT up by 2 squads of terminators who were effectively placed. On turn 1 Deepstrike from the bikes homers. (WHOM gain’d position with the scout movment {out of LOS})

This took the wind out of the sales of the Chaos army. To much pussyfooting caused a larger window for mistakes to be made. The rhino that was blown up and the amount of damage that squad took was big causing that squad to be NEih! Effective.

----- I personally don’t really know what was line of thought thinking here?

- going against DA’s which are all Terminators you better be bringing POWER WEAPONS in H2h

-Same goes for the orks with the FnP.

throwing 40 attacks on the charges at Full compliments…. No power weapons.

Against

Terms 3s then 3s then armor saves 2s
kill count 2.9: Apoth might be able to even negate one of those to if it hasn’t already.

FnP: 3s then 3s then armor saves 4s then FnP 4s

Kill Count: 4.35: this just isn’t enough KILLS against the orks since they get 2 attacks each and there power Class which get 4s 2s DED!

At start turn 3 which would prove to be the last turn played by the dorks.

EVENTS occurred:

Land raider moves up Delivers payload charges the non FnP orks

Dire Avengers move and shoot killing the commandos.

3 beserkers charge 3 bikes ( no power weapons)

Deamons Not arrive (BIG)

(my thoughts)

Finally the berserkers took the bait and moved forward.

Charged and did kill 14 orks. 11 more orks died from additional wounds.

Left the berserkers to get countered so that they could also spring board them over.
******************* Last turn needed by Dorks
Shooting CML in to the Dire Avengers which contains a fireseer made them fail Leadership run off board.

More shooting in to the Banshees transport Knocked it down and caused them to take a decent amount of wounds on the way down.

********************************************************

Beserkers finished off the rest of the 1 sqaud of boys that didn’t FnP.

FnP squad kills 3 Beserekers and stuck in combat.

So this picture here is basically the last of what happened.

The landraider ran away

Terminators walked on top of the LR…. WEIRD? But I will in the future try to place guys in vehicles too!

Deamons DS and charged…. But didn’t kill 1 GUY!!!!

The other berserkers didn’t kill 1 guy!!!

The last 3 other berserkers died.

After this turn Defeat was conceated! It was assumed that everything would have been wipe’d out and would have died before the end of turn 4….. ok maybe not but its fun to have hoped everything would of died. Even though we technically will never Know

Mission Scenario Proposition

I ran this by Rob and Susmita when we did the 2v1 and theys were diggin' the idea.

For mission type, there should be one that combines Kill Points as well as Capture Points/Objectives into a singular gameplay.

At the end of the game, each player's Kill Points earned as well as Objectives held are combined into a total score.

Player 1's score: 5 Kill Points earned, holding 2 Objectives = 7 Points total
Player 2's score: 6 Kill Points, No Objectives = 6

Trying to think up a good name for the mission type. Mayhem, Domination, Legendary.
We dont have to incorporate it into our dice rolling for game type every single time, but it would eliminate the need to roll for mission type lol. And its a little more realistic; an orc isnt going to just stand on one objective and not fight, a chaos space marine or dark eldar dont care about territorial gain.

We must uphold the violence!

Update to Eldar Psyker spells

Chaos VS eldar

ALL IN ONE post

FUCKING UNDERLINES???? how do i get this shit above: FUck blocker Ummmm above FAIL on fire Dragons.... couldn't roll above 5 with 2 dice 3 times.

Left: Chaos advances forward (top of turn one)

ABOVE: Bill seize initiative

Bill and Rob holding hands under the table.

Things went south after you left. The lesser daemons swarmed the guardians
and wiped them out. Then they continued on to wipe out the last half of the
dire avengers. They lived until end game and that was the only good.
Harlequins made a push through the center of the building. When they were
about 10 -12 inches away i opened up at them with my terminators and noise
marines... unfortunately I only rolled a 3 on 2D6 for sight with both
units, hence I could not see them. So two units wasted their entire
shooting. They charged in and wiped out my terminators (the lord still
lived though). Bill shot at the rear end of a wave serpent for 2 or 3
rounds with twin-linked everything. Could not roll above a 2 for damage.
The banshees finally wiped out the plauge marines with some lucky rolling.
I wanted the defiler to come and help out with that combat but Bill wanted
to shoot at the wave serpent again to no effect. And the Avatar wiped out
the Berzerkers. The end score was 8 to 6 Susmita. We only got one KP in the
last 2 or 3 turns. We tried... oh how we tried to get more, but to no
avail.

2-28-10 - Orks/Tau versus ELdar/D.Angels

Its amazing how terrible the photo uploader is. It's like they made it fucking trash on purpose.

-Team one: Orks (Chris) and Tau: Campaign VHF (Bill) -versus- Eldar (Susmita) and DarkAngels: Sons of The Lion (Ed)
- Kill Points, 12 inches long edgel deployment
- Winners - Tau/Orks in end of Turn 6 (anyone remember the actual final score?)

Pathfinders and Orks standing side to side. What is this universe coming to?

"F this, lets hide."

Susmita has already packed up her Eldar and left the table as the greenskins gobble up the last of her Terminator allies.

Ork FAQ

Came out last week, not sure if anyone has seen it yet - Ork FAQ

From what I read on the B&C forums (and what Chris confirmed), this is the only updated part of the FAQ -

Q. Can you use the Deffrolla when Ramming vehicles or does it only work when Tank Shocking non-vehicle units?
A. The death rolla does indeed inflict D6 S10 hits against vehicles, as Ramming is just a type of Tank Shock.

Forge World PDF supplements

I've know about these for some time, but in light of the horrendous loss yesterday, they came back into my thoughts.

First off, they are defined as:

"Errata, Experimental and Optional rules for Warhammer 40,000."

Obviously, Forge World is in cahoots with Games Workshop, but these are not official rules and they are actually supposed to be used in conjunction with the actual Imperial Armor supplements, I personally don't see why these unit profiles couldn't just be used in conjunction with our own codices. But of course, we all have to give them the okay to be used. As you can see, there is actually at least something for most of us, rules for an Ork vehicle (though even Chris admitted that this was over powered), Tau Commander, as well as Imperial Armor Vol. 2 which has things for all Space Marine armies, including Grey Knights.

As mentioned above, here is Imperial Armor Vol. 2

I'm not going to lie, for me specifically, it would be beneficial, yet mostly in the realm of correcting point values and bringing them on par with the Wolves and the Codex Marines. If it does not specifically say "Choice for... Dark Angels", than it does not apply to me (for instance, some only say "Space Marine" which is referring to only Codex: Space Marine).

It also does add a few new toys (which include but are not limtied to, Whirlwind Hyperios, Damocles Rhino, Mortis Dreadnought - a dread which fluff-wise was actually invented by the DA yet not in their list) which could open up some new strats for at least Rob, Susmita (as DH) and myself.

EDIT - took out bit about drop pods. I was wrong about charging. Deep striking units can't.

The Damocles Rhino also has some nice rules for Deep striking/Reserve units. Note that it does not actually have transport capacity and it actually counts as an HQ - so it's use would be limited, especially in lower point games. And of course, rerolling scatter could always give you a worse outcome. Though should I always have to rely on bikes to get my Terminators in more safely? Even if they come in, they're sitting for a round, just shooting.

So there it is. The things I'm most interested in, are getting certain vechicles at comparable prices and some of the new vehicle variations.

Obviously, some of us get some more perks than others, but I'm looking at it from a outdated 2007 Codex perspective where as the Wolves, Orks and Nids all have shiny new ones. I'd totally understand if you guys say no, and even just resort to a case by case basis. Let me know your thoughts.
